TDG meeting series

Kinematics of TDGs - London
19/05/08
The fourth TDG meeting took place in the cosy building of  the Royal Astronomical Society, in London. It was mainly devoted to the kinematical studies of tidal debris.

Star Formation in Extreme Conditions - Carcans
15/10/07
The third meeting took place in Carcans, on the sea-side near Bordeaux. It was mainly devoted to star formation in tidal debris and the outer most regions of spiral galaxies.

Missing mass in tidal tails - Paris
24/10/06
The second TDG meeting took place at Observatoire de Paris, in the intimate room 601. This is where the missing mass in tidal debris was (actively) discussed for the first time.

Recycling intergalactic and interstellar matter - Sydney
14/07/03
We organized as part of the IAU General Assembly a symposium dedicated to the origin and fate of the stellar/interstellar matter liberated by galaxies during their evolution.

Tidal Dwarf Galaxies - Saclay
26/02/01
The first TDG meeting took place in Saclay. It was attended by about 20 people for 5 countries.

Our TDG collaboration organizes regular meetings and conferences on Tidal Dwarf Galaxies and tidal tails in general. They have been sponsored by the French Programme National Galaxies (PNG)
